Learning Learning is a central component of the OTZMA experience. Participants take part in several formal educational seminars that cover such topics as the Holocaust, Israeli politics, and more. Much of the learning on the program comes through interacting the the other participants, with everyday Israelis, and the many diverse cultures that present itself in modern day Israel.View Photos |

Judaism Although OTZMA is not a religious program, Judaism is a central part of the experience. Participants have opportunities to celebrate all of the Jewish holidays, shabbat and take part in a whole range of activities relating to Jewish life in Israel.View Photos |

Tiyulim (Trips) Tiyulim (trips) are a critical chance to learn about Israel. Throughout the OTZMA year, participants take several trips to various parts of the country.View Photos |

Touring OTZMA participants have two week long breaks from the program plus some free weekends to tour around the country. Depending on the security situation, past groups have traveled to Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, and inside Israel during this time offView Photos |

Volunteering OTZMA participants have many opportunities to volunteer in a variety of settings during the program. This can include, working with new Olim (immigrants) from Ethiopia, Argentina, the Former Soviet Union, eaching and tutoring English, working with the blind or handicapped, and more. Many OTZMA participants discover unique ways to volunteer, such as working for an environmental group or helping out the elderly.View Photos |
